Saint Huck - Sound Over Sound (Unreleased? 1986)

Steve Perry - Guitar/Vocals
Chris Cook - Accordion
Dan Schmid - Bass
Tim Arnold - Drums

This is another recording that should have been posted years ago because Tim sent it to me years ago. At long last here is the unreleased (?) e.p. by Saint Huck recorded back in 1986. Two of the tracks did appear on the Panic On 13th compilation cassette shortly after they were recorded but as far as I know nothing else ever saw the light of day. No idea why. Dan? Tim? Steve? Chris? I remember seeing them at the W.O.W. hall in 1985 or so when Dave Allen was the full time singer (I think?). As always, please leave any background/historical details in the comments and maybe in five to ten years I'll update the post. As everyone knows, Steve, Dan & Tim continued on together in the Cherry Poppin' Daddies just three years later. The two bonus tracks are sourced from a cassette John O'Neil made for me in 1987. I've heard there are other tracks that were recorded but I've never been in possession of them. Anyone?

George Lane - The Snoozefest (Unreleased, 1989)

Greg Sutherland - Vocals
John O'Neil - Drums, Guitar
Mike Johnson - Drums, Guitar
Adam Glogauer - Drums
Christopher Cook - ??
Steve Nordby - Bass?

Another in the seemingly endless number of Eugene recordings that went unreleased at least as far as I know. I think Greg Sutherland was the driving force behind the band. I believe they played live a few times and that Steve Nordby engineered the tape. You now know as much as I do and the list of personnel listed above is guesswork and almost surely incomplete. Enjoy the Snoozefest!

Christopher Cook (1987-1990)

I think this is the first of the Christopher Cook solo tapes and I believe it was released in 1987. Most of you are probably most familiar with Christopher from his work in St. Huck and with The Flatlanders. Not sure if Chris played solo shows or not, I don't remember any but he did release a total of four cassettes. Last I knew, Chris was the owner of a store on Willamette between 5th & 6th St. Anyone know the name of it? Same building Green Noise used to be in.
