Welcome to the official online home of underground rock from Eugene, Oregon circa 1980-1995. Relive the time you spent in someone's damp, smelly basement while you were in college! Please email to Panicon13th@sbcglobal.net if you'd like a post removed because you don't want anyone to know about or ever hear your old band again.

The Soulsations - Live at Taylor's & the Eugene Celebration (Unreleased)
Anyone want to help me out on the personnel?
Steve Ibach sent me a live cd a few months back and I'm finally getting around to posting it. The Soulsations were around for quite awhile if I recall correctly. Anyone want to write a band history because I'm sure not qualified to do it. These recordings must be from '89 or later because I hear them reference the Cherry Poppin' Daddies at one point. Sorry, don't have any song titles.

Guitarist Joe Lewis and vocalist Teddy Boy Roix formed the Soulsations in the mid-eighties and had an excellent band that included guitarist Steve Ibach, drummer/vocalist Rick Markstrom, and a horn section featuring Tim Clarke (trumpet) and Brooks Brown (sax, later Cherry Poppin’ Daddies). The band played many gigs throughout Oregon, with a couple of stellar shows at the Portland Blues Festival and an unbelievable performance at the Eugene Celebration. –Nathan Waddell, 2016
